The
Challenge

East House is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit agency serving individuals with persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder. The agency's mission is to empower individuals with mental health and substance use disorders to recover and to live healthy, fulfilling lives in their community.

With an annual income over of $13 million and board members of various corporate backgrounds ranging from Wegmans, TD Ameritrade to Rochester Institute of Technology, we knew East House was in good hands operationally, and it simply needed clarity in its brand story, services, and delivery.

As a result, our challenge was simply presenting treatment options with a particular gentleness, sensitivity, and compassion that would instill hope within visitors.

Don't ever give up on people

On the
web

We designed and developed a website that aimed to guide the user from the abstract - the mission statement - through potential treatment options and physically placed into a befitting treatment residence.

1.

Those seeking help either for themselves or a loved one are greeted with the agency's mission statement in a professional and clean - encouraging exploration of the rest of the site.

2.

A powerful video meets the user on the first page, capturing the spirit of empathy, hope, and empowerment that drives East House in its mission.

3.

A slideshow keeps the website current, with ongoing events, and recognitions awarded to East House as well as any updates to the programs or residences.

Connect & help

From words, photos, and video that connect to visitors, the website breaks down the potential confusion visitors may be feeling in their lives. This is accomplished through an organized and easily digestible layout

PHOTO
PRODUCTION

As a way to showcase where individuals would recover, we took photos of the various houses East House owns and operates. This allows individuals and families to have a certain set of expectations when engaging with the brand.
