Challenge

Established in 2016, Meals By DeLeo is a meal preparation company offering fresh, local meals delivered weekly to customers' doors within a 20-mile radius of Rochester, NY. 

With the intention of helping as many people as possible with good, fresh, and portioned food, the team required all the necessary foundational branded assets to allow them to expand and grow throughout in New York.

Our challenge was accomplishing this and developing their newest feature of meal plan customizability directly into e-commerce.

WEB

The new Meals By DeLeo website included two parts: (1) the front end interface development and (2) the meal customization interface development.

We developed the front end of the current website to increase efficiency as well as to simplify and enhance the overall user experience for leads and current customers.

As a whole, the newly updated website was created with the ultimate goal and intention to grow and scale the business model eventually beyond New York.

Upon entrance, visitors are immersed into a quick interactive video surrounded by different meals with the ability to choose a meal plan right off the bat.

This section highlights the efficiency and quickness of meal plan ordering through the brand with Meals By DeLeo's "Choose, Heat, Eat" methodology.

The following sections give visitors a better understanding of what they're "getting into" and what types of meals are offered on a weekly basis. 

Through a sub-navigation bar (WEEK 1, WEEK 2, etc.), visitors can quickly switch from one week to the next with a quick glance at meal macro-nutrients.

The brand story highlights how Meals By DeLeo started giving people a better understanding of the "why".

We allowed users to get a small glance of one of the three plans with a short snippet of what the plans offer.

Lastly, we highlighted testimonials and reviews from actual meal plan customers to better authenticate and accentuate the brand.

Frontend: We designed the meal customization process where customers can select the quantities and quality of meals each week.

Backend: We expanded functionality of third-party platform WooCommerce by developing it to compile the user list, including users’ meals, and customized orders ready for fulfillment. This eliminated email and the manual excel input process – increasing efficiency and organizational scalability

We designed a series of marketing material from brochures, banner stands, table toppers, to business cards. These pieces gave the team a foundational toolkit to promote the brand at the initial stage of growth.
