The
Challenge

Basha is a fast-casual, Lebanese-influenced Mediterranean restaurant located in Pittsford, NY. Since 2017, the eatery has diligently catered to consumers desiring healthy, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and nut-free lunch and dinner meal options.

With the ultimate goal of a franchise model, UCO was approached to set a firm brand foundation by standardizing assets, enhancing its web presence (website and web order), and maintaining cohesiveness and consistency across all touchpoints.

In turn, this would allow Basha to eventually scale business effectively and efficiently.

ON THE

We crafted a desktop and mobile web experience that balanced aesthetics of Basha's product and brand, whilst keeping the page structure and navigation incredibly simple.

To start, we wanted to have individuals land directly on a home page that would allow them to view menus right off the bat.

With the ability to scroll, we wanted the ease and accessibility of providing quick links for secondary call-to-actions.

We developed a multi-faceted menu design that is filtered by categories of lunch, dinner, catering, and beverages.

We wrote a snippet that highlighted the owner's background and origin influences, allowing consumers to feel closer to the brand.

Strengthening Basha's credibility, we gathered detailed customer review snippets from Yelp to assist in purchasing decisions.

ONLINE
ORDERING

We worked within Basha's point of sale system (P.O.S.) web order template to ensure the consistency and cohesiveness of brand was still felt even within design constraints.

This was facilitated by working within the P.O.S. backend and incorporating customized menu designs and photography seamlessly.

We sectioned off the lunch and dinner menus with professionally shot images to better summarize each menu category.

We made sure to keep the dinner consistent with the lunch menu in terms of category and menu imagery.

In an effort to push catering business, we added the catering menu.

We programed the POS platform to selectively show the exact beverages offered for pick-up or delivery.

categories

One of the customized features that UCO implemented was a customized entry form with Image upload. One of the challenges was that all the images needed to stay consistent size. 

Modifiers

We renamed and adjusted modifiers to contain all the appropriate questions.

In an effort to follow suit with the interior design style of the restaurant, we produced cohesive marketing materials enabling the brand to tell a consistent story across every touchpoint.
