Challenge

Located in Rochester, NY, Concept II is one of the United States' premier and complete kitchen and bath design studios. From designing and installation to project management, the brand offers a customized process from start to finish.

The CII team came to UCO in need of branding that was as innovative and as elegant as the designs they brought to life. The challenge was to flesh out the goal from minimal assets.

Borne of just ideas and a general overall direction, UCO was able to manifest their withheld vision by developing a new brand, website, and marketing in a cohesive fashion.

As a team, our goal was to have the logo encapsulate the versatility and dependability of designs Concept II creates. We did this by carefully implementing some futuristic touches to marry into the overall simplicity in order to achieve a timeless, polished look.

AUTHENTICITY IS EVERYTHING

ON THE
WEB

Through a new, modernized website design, we were able to develop built-in features to maximize understanding of visitor engagement, such as a 3D tour and filterable portfolio and news pages by categories.

The website immediately transports a potential client directly into one of Concept II's designs, kicking off the possibilities for their desires and possible choices for their own project.

We then broke down the services that Concept II offers, thereby walking the user through the steps of what their project entails. Images paired with these steps and options not only maintain but help the user to inject the polished style of the company into their own burgeoning design ideas.

The portfolio was (and still is) the focal piece of the Concept II. It was important to showcase the breadth, quality, and style of work CII had prepared over the years.

The faces behind the team were particularly important to the Concept II team from the perspective of a potential client's expectations and an overall internal culture standpoint.

Through our research and dialogue with the CII team, we learned the importance of Houzz and Angies List - online communities discussing architecture, interior design and decorating, landscape design and home improvement.

As a result, we wanted to connect the CII brand to these websites, so that potential clients could do their own due diligence.

We built an interactive portfolio for Concept II that engages the viewer in the designs created for previous clients. 

Our intention was to showcase the wide variety of project ideas Concept II had conceptualized and crafted over the years.

THE BRAND STORY EXPRESSED THROUGH DESIGN

We designed a brochure in the same polished style to actively trigger the reader's mind. Our collaborative end-goal was to have the reader open the brochure and instantly immerse into a world of well-crafted, well-implemented, and well-designed features of the CII brand.

BEST OF
THE WEB

The website we designed for Concept II was nominated and recognized as a finalist in the Rochester Business Journal's "Best of the Web Awards" for having the best website under the Real Estate and Construction category.

After launching the website, CII earned a return on their investment less than 14 days later. As one could imagine, it was worth every penny.
