THE
CHALLENGE

UCO was approached with the opportunity to be the main creative force behind a charitable organization created in memory of a local Rochester legend, Anthony DiCesare (better known as “Tony” or “Tony D”).

Providing close guidance and assistance with organizational structure, together UCO and the organization decided an annual charitable golf tournament.

From there, UCO delivered a visual brand identity, website, and social media campaign as well as any and all creative assets to be used for the event annually.

CAPTURING THE SPIRIT OF TONY

THE
LOGO

Our core objective as a team was to embody Tony’s famous charisma and magnetic personality while giving off a modest and professional touch.

Our many concepts and explorations brought us to a simple, yet elegant solution.

Tony was well known for his tasteful fashion choices and unique sense of style. Using Tony’s “signature bow tie" as a subtle nod to the essence of the local entrepreneur was a no-brainer. A clean, cursive font with crisp lines helped achieve the polished and modern look desired to reflect in his aura and persona.

ON THE
WEB

UCO built a fully responsive and mobile optimized e-commerce site to promote the event and directly sell tickets, sponsorship, and donations.

Our goal was to capture Tony’s essence and integrate it into the event to help users quickly grasp both who Tony was and how the event honors his intent for the world. Achieving this goal effectively educated and encouraged users to become a donor, golfer, or volunteer.

The site was also developed to be easily accessible and updated by all members of the board, regardless of tech-savviness.

Upon landing on the site, the user is greet with a soft logo reveal and a slow cross fade of Tony.

Helicopter Ball Drop
As one of the highlights of the event, UCO created a custom e-commerce solution for users to purchase uniquely numbered balls for the exciting and interactive experience.

3.

Registration
For ease of accepting sponsorships and registrations from golfers, UCO built a customized solution for the foundation in which all data became trackable and exportable.

The Inspiration
Making the fundamental reason and vision of the tournament known by everyone was a priority throughout this project. As a result, a special “in memoriam” section was created to place the man behind the mission at the core of the event.

5.

The Charities
Tony lived by his heart. From that sentiment, two charities were chosen to benefit from the money raised by the tournament. Board members wanted the event to stand for something first and foremost, and UCO carefully wove the meaning and intent behind the event within itself. As a result, UCO made it about much more than golf and much more than about just selling tickets.

IN
PRINT

UCO was responsible for the creation of all printed collateral for the event. Special care was taken to maintain the integrity of the brand no matter the usage – from the custom embroidery on a variety of apparel and accessories to the banners and signage.

Sponsorship brochures and an event program were created to keep the participants informed and engaged even throughout the event. Meticulous details incorporated into each eye-catching piece was crucial to ensure the event looked both professional and personal.
